“Tilt-in-Space” Wheelchair Campaign - COMPLETE!
I can’t say enough about the love and support we have received throughout our entire journey of Maggie’s recovery. But the tangibility of the last day just blows me away.
One of the main things we wanted for Maggie was a wheelchair so when we were at home she could be mobile. She could join the family in the living room, we could take her on walks in our neighborhood, she could be at the tree at Christmas.
We had used a type of chair called “tilt-in-space” throughout Maggie’s care at Strong, Select, and UAB. It provided equal parts comfort and safety. But those benefits were not without costs.
One of the driving forces behind the creation of this foundation were the encouragements of people telling us, “People want to help, but they won’t know how unless you tell them.” We have been so well provided for so far that we were slow to ask for more. But where we are in her journey, there are just resources we need that finally made us … listen a little better.
We published this site yesterday. And we posted about the specific Wheelchair Campaign less than 24 hours ago. And that campaign is complete!
Thank you is not adequate… I’m sorry it is what I have. But THANK YOU!
You are an amazing community - of love, of prayers, of support, and resources. We don’t take any of this for granted.
We don’t know what Maggie’s Journey will look like. But I know it will be better because of the support from all of you!
