We started talking about her moving back to Select at Brookwood a week ago. Nick and I felt strongly that she needed a few more days in the ICU just because of the eyes watching her and the frequency of tests. Her sodium has been up and down and we wanted it more stable.
We began the process of the insurance and paperwork involved and then she needed a new feeding tube and insurance went slow, so we got the extra week we wanted! Praise God!
Maggie moves Monday morning! We are excited for this next step! The last time she moved from ICU to select we saw and immediate improvement in her awareness. We are praying for the same thing to happen this time! And she can have more visitors so let me know if you want to visit!
She’s had a great week. She’s more awake than she has been in the past few weeks. She wears out quickly, but we’ll work on her stamina.
No hints of neurostorming.
She looks so peaceful (unless someone is making her move.)
We’ve enjoyed some time with Julia and Kim who are visiting from Washington and Hawaii. Maggie really enjoys Kim’s hand massages.
And we got the Maggie tattoos we’ve been planning. One of her sweet nurses in Rochester drew a rocket on one of her head dressings back in February. We thought it would be the perfect tattoo to commemorate this season.
