This week has been so good!

I can’t believe how alert Maggie is! She is nodding and shaking her head to yes/no questions, smiling at people in the room, raising eyebrows, “looking” around. All the familiar voices are so good for her.

She hates PT and OT but it’s so good for her. She was “yelling” at one point the other day. I asked her if she was in pain. She shook her head no. I asked her if she was mad and she shook her head yes with that look on her face that we know so well. 

Speech therapy has been working on swallowing. She had applesauce that was dyed blue. She swallowed it like a champ! They were able to check her airways to make sure no applesauce had gotten where it wasn’t supposed to be. So hopefully she’ll be able to graduate to other things soon!

She’s been moving her mouth like she’s trying to talk. She gets so frustrated when words can’t come out. But when she starts, we all sit and look at her just waiting. We know it’s coming soon! And we’re all so ready for it! 

Thank you so much for all the prayers, and all the people that have reached out to us! This transition is a good one. It has its difficulties, of course! But it’s good to be able to be home at night with Seth and Bekah.

We get glimpses every day of how Lord sees and takes care of us through all this. I am pretty sure we will never be able to get them all down! I continue to be an all of how faithful our God is!
